the cute bowl thing didn't last long. as i suspected. this morning, i got my bowl of cereal out and was munching away at the second box of kix. (i might have eaten the first box already) so devin does that same. EXCEPT, he gets on the stool and grabs a hidden bowl i apparently had missed that was on the very top cupboard shelf behind our chip dip platter thing - (obviously, i have never used that haha). well, at least i had bliss for one day with the bowl. i knew reality would settle in. dang bowl.
have i mentioned that i still have 1 credit of college left? yes, i have been putting off my internship like the plague for... lets just say a long time because this is my 12th semester. please do not gasp. i know it's rather embarrassing. most people finish in 8 and i love to take 4 more semesters than normal. awesome. well, i started my internship about 8 days ago at the family crisis center. i only need to do 60 or 70 hours to complete it. does anyone know which one it is for a sociology catalog year of (please close your eyes) of 2005-2006? anyways, i've already done 19 hours! i'm so proud of myself!!! i'm trying to get all my hours in before my mom comes on october 9th. more about that later...
this internship really has opened my eyes though. i've always been so naive about lets see, everything... i had no idea that some people have to live in such terrible circumstances. i seriously cannot believe it. the women and children that come to the office have been through SO much in their lives! i have new found heroes. no joke. i came home last night and just hugged devin and cried. i'm so grateful that i live in a safe home where i never feel belittled, ever. we both have testimonies of the gospel and have a good understanding of the Atonement. i'm so grateful for my Savior and the opportunity devin and i have to be parents soon. i can't wait to raise our little man in the gospel. i'm so glad that he will be loved, every single day. he will be smothered way too much with how much we love him. i only ever want my kids to feel safe at home and protected within the walls of our house. i want them to feel love from their siblings and their parents, all the time. i knew i wanted all these things before i started this internship but now it's SO real to me just how extremely IMPORTANT it is to feel safety and love in our homes/apartments/parents basements... wherever we are. sorry that was a bit mushy and deep for me on this blog but i really have new eyes for my surroundings now. we may NEVER know what the person next to us at the grocery store has to deal with at home or in their lives. i really am going to try to be more charitable and loving to everyone in my path. it just reminds me of this picture:

well, fall is pretty much HERE in rexburg, idaho. i am not complaining one bit. i LOVE fall. it is by FAR my favorite season. the warmer clothes and scarves, the holidays, car rides with dev looking at houses we like and singing, HOT CHOCOLATE... which reminds me - i have been on the prowl for a cute teapot for some time now! i saw one at DI that was $2 one day and i kept putting it back and now am beating myself senseless. i loved it. oh well. anyone know of any fun, cute, CHEAP teapots?? i am constantly on the lookout!!! fall is not complete without a great teapot! ladies, am i right??

you know those days where you have off or work/school and you have TONS to do but you just want to have a lazy day and lounge around in your sweats? i am currently in the recliner, blogging, in horrendous sweats and loving every second of it. these are my favorite days :) plus the baby is keeping me company. i think he is saying hello to everyone because he is kicking like crazy right now.
it's almost friday!
