as i said, boy time really is wonderful. however, dev and i have this debate that has been going on for the past 13 months we've lived together.

he thinks that after he finishes eating his bowl of cereal he can just rinse it out and put it wherever he likes with the spoon still in it and find it the next morning (we are big cereal eaters over here). okay, to me that is just gross. let me explain - half the time he doesn't even rinse it out so the spoon literally is STICKING to the bowl from the coated milk at the bottom of the bowl. nasty yet?? haha oh gosh. well, here's the fun part. i think he thinks it has become this game between us when in all reality it drives me crazy and i just wish he would wash his bowl and spoon and just put it in the dishwasher. skip that - just put it in the sink. i'll do the rest! wellll.... i have found this bowl and spoon throughout the house in the most random places. lets see - on top of the fridge, in the oven, in the pantry hiding behind the oatmeal, hiding with the cookbooks, ON TOP of the cabinets, in the laundry room... the list goes on. seriously, the bowl has been EVERYWHERE. it is the main traveler in our marriage. i just wish it would go neatly in the dishwasher.
well, a miracle happened last night... we had just bought 3 boxes of KIX - (my absolute fav, they kind of taste like bland nothing but i love it) so naturally, we ate tons of cereal last night and yes, i am a bad wife that was our entire dinner. shame on me. oh well, i'm already over it. back to the story - so we were finishing our cereal and i see devin, walk over to the sink, RINSE OUT THE BOWL, AND PUT IT IN THE DISHWASHER!!!! my mouth was wide open, seriously. he looked at me and smiled and said, "that's how much i love you."
if that doesn't make your day, i don't know WHAT does!!!
however, i'm sure there will be a return of the bowl disaster tomorrow. but for now, i am a very very happy wife.
and on to my favorite subject - THE BABY!!! you are all probably sick of hearing about our baby but i am just SO SO SO excited about our little guy. i talk to him all the time and stroke my belly like a freak. don't tell anyone :) well, i've been feeling our munchkin kick me for a few weeks now and IT IS SO FUN! i seriously love that feeling more than anything! i keep trying to get dev to feel him and he always gets super sad because he can't ever feel him. but this morning i don't know what our little man was doing - probably trying to run out of my womb or something, but i put dev's hand on my tummy AND HE FELT HIM!!! he kicked him like 4 times. dev was like a little school girl - THE biggest grin on his face. totally the cutest thing i've ever seen.
so basically, i'm a REAL happy girl. new hair, husband does the dishes sometimes, and both of us can feel our little guy... life is perfect.
(oh ps - at my doc's apt. the other day they said i'm measuring a week ahead of what they thought so here i am at 23 weeks!!! WOOHOOO!!!)
