time is passing by so quickly that it's starting to freak me out. brighton just turned 3 months old and i wish so badly i had been better at documenting this time of his sweet little life. these little boys are my entire everything and i need to find those gosh darn batteries for my camera and get chugging away and write posts whenever i darn well please.
i feel like sometimes in this blogging world, you have to have perfect grammar and the perfect posts in order to blog about something.and you have to have it designed real nice , which one day it will be but that is until i am no longer blog retarded. so,let's put a stop to that "perfect blogging nonsense!" this blog has never been that way and nor will it ever be. this is my little space in the world to talk about whatever i want or feel the need to and so i will tell you...
my house kind of smells like poop right now. i wish i were joking. i have spit up on my shirt and this is the first time i have sat down in like four days with the house silent and still - minus the little munchkin asleep and snoring next to me on the couch. i don't mind that so much :)
having two kids is so freaking hard. i knew it would be hard but not this hard. i think i make it a little harder because i feel like the tv is the devil and i hate the whole "built-in-baby-sitter." i am so anti. i honestly have break downs to devin at night sometimes because i let the kids watch two movies that day and so i feel like i have failed. i know, that's probably silly but i have my own standards and goals as a mom and i'm trying my hardest to rise to them.
brighton has been so sick the past few weeks. he has brochiolitis-pretty much baby bronchitis. so, he's been on a little nebulizer for the last little while. i feel like he's too little to be so sick. but the doctor finally cleared him to get his 2 month shots now that he's 3 months and so he's got 5 of those baby little bandaids on his ever chubby growing thighs. it's so freaking cute.
crew is kind of a nightmare right now. i took him to target earlier today and he threw his sippy cup at the person behind us in line and pitched a fit in the shopping cart and started screaming. terrible two's is real. i am testifying of this right now. buuuut... he's in this naughty phase where he's into everything but he has this charming little smile and laugh and he gets away with a lot more than he probably should. man, he is a little piece of work right now.
i'd be lying if i said i wasn't sick of changing poopy diapers. right before i put crew down, i changed four poopy diapers in fifteen minutes. four, i tell you! THAT IS A LOT!
don't get me started on how frustrated i get when people complain about their husbands having long work days. you are lucky. except for single parents and whoever's spouses are physically far away. i freaking salute you. how do you do it? dev leaves at 6 in the morning and comes home around 9 or 10 right now. with two under two - that is such a LONG day with no breaks. but, i know it could be much worse. i am so grateful for a sweet husband that makes the most of the days he does have off. he is so good to get up with the baby in the night and handle crew's tantrums and makes sure that he is more respectful of his mommy. i love that man like it's nobody's business. and let me tell you, i miss him like crazy. but we are fortunate that he has a job and this is the month of thanks. i couldn't be more grateful for that.
that's about all i have to rant and rave about unless you want to hear all about how retarded my insurance people are but i'm a little tired and king brighton is waking up from his snooze fest now.
so, here's some pictures of my littles and our life lately.
bri at 2 months
halloween
kids and i in a hotel in michigan. dev had a dental interview. cross your fingers!
on the way home, yes we drove 11 hours with the babies- yes we are stupid-
we stopped in kirtland, ohio. so cool.
this couple was so cool. they were both in dental school. talk about power house! and dev and this guy both served their missions in buenos aires, argentina 2005-2007 AND that girl right there... yeah, my grandpa gave her her patriarchal blessing. HOW CRAZY IS THAT?
such a small world - especially in the mormon world.
yupp and that diaper is already full again...
