one big poopy mess

friday morning the hubs had diaper duty. you know the drill. the baby is up fussing in his crib and you change his diaper and then feed him. well, crew was just up singing in his crib trying to bite off his stuffed animal giraffe's head, as usual. so, i remind dev that he needs to go get the pig because it's his turn. like a good husband, he gets up and goes.

then, the next 5 minutes are kind of a blurr...

i hear a scream - NOT from the baby, but from a full grown man. i guess the diaper was pretty bad. {the munchkin has had a double ear infection so he's been on meds and has had MAJOR explosive diarrhea, like we are talking SICK runs} so after a few more minutes i don't hear any noise. no noise = bad, especially with a baby that is jabber mouth non-stop and a husband that doesn't stop pretending to gag while changing each dirty diaper. this is his tactic to have his sweet wife come in and bail him out from the diaper. yeah, his sweet wife does not fall for that very often. anyways...

i look all around the house and can NOT find either of them. of course my mother instincts kick in and i am freaking out, absolute panic. so, out of desperation i go outside and start yelling their names {as if a 5 month old is going to yell back to me, I'M OVER HERE MOM.} finally i hear crew's jabbering in the back yard and i see devin going out to the side of the house. what is he doing?? i go over to crew, who is all by himself. he is COVERED, i mean covered in poop. we are talking about from his head to his toes on BOTH sides of his body and in his hair, covered in poop.

sick crap, literally sick crap.

but the pig is just smiling and rolling around in the grass with bugs jumping on him because of his feces. awesome. i look out farther into the yard and his nasty diaper has been thrown from him a few yards and so has his poop covered onesie. you can imagine how terrible that onesie was. you bet i just threw it away. some are just not worth the trouble of trying to wash and save.

so, i call out for the hubs and he is coming back with a hose. a freaking hose. yes, he was going to power spray our five month old child with freezing cold water because to him, "it seemed like a good idea."

pray for me. it is only monday.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY :)

Oh. My. Gosh. Sounds like something my husband would do... Spray off the baby... Was the crib set all ruined?

P.S. I literlly started laughing my head off and me husband was like what? So I read it to him and my 14 yr old brother (who lives with us) and they're both laughing too. That is the best story ever!!

Wow! I guess this is what I have to look forward to when my lil guy gets here. Let's hope my cloth diapers keep the mess contained!
