okay, devin and i are way too simple and love doing anything that we are having a REALLY hard time deciding what to do for our 1 year anniversary which is next month.
Mark and I rented a theme room at the AmericInn hotel. Its kind of spendy though... But you only get one 1 year! and its the most important!
But you could go camping at Rigby Lake and make s'mores and watch movies on a laptop..
There is an AWESOME restaurant here in Idaho Falls called "The Snakebite" It has really weird hours though.. its in downtown IF on A street. DELICIOUS and fun!
Mark sent me on a scavenger hunt to all the important places (the place we first met--online so he sent me to the computer lol-- the first place we met in person since we met online lol, the place of our first kiss, our first apartment, etc and eventually it ended to where we are now -- or where we were together then).
Write him a letter a deep meaningful one.
Give each other massages
Have a bubble bath!! or find a hottub to enjoy together and drink sparkling cider! and talk about all your favorite memories so far.. or you could borrow a book from us called The Book of Questions-- You can always learn something new and so fun!
Anyway i know those arent great ideas but hey its something... oh yeah... dont forget to make love! thats always fun too! lol
Make a box...and every year write down 3 things--your favorite memory of each other, the thing u learned the most or grew the most in as one part of the relationship, and one thing u will work on-read to each other what u wrote, then every year open it up and re-read it and write a new one...its like finding old pictures that have a little soft spot on your heart and make u say "aww...i forgot about that but i loved it"....and david made a fun scavenger hunt for me-we didn't have a ton of money and we had a baby so he made a scavenger hunt and sent me all over the place-and the clues led me to the park where he had gotten subs from my favorite place, and a pull behind bike seat for the baby, we had a picnic and a nice bike ride--intimate and fun, and CHEAP-lol...
Hope you guys come up with something fun that will keep your marriage fresh and each of you on your toes for each other to strive to be better than the day before-thats the challenge i think in married life, to remember that working on yourself not just working on the relationship keeps it good/happy/healthy/exciting!
Love you ashley, miss you tons, and hope you are having a wonderful life
