it's funny that when you leave a place, you will ALWAYS miss certain things about it. no matter how rough, terrible, or whatever you remember it to be. BUT in my case, i loved loved loved rexburg.
it was the place that i had wild times with roommates like being on soccer teams, bowling leagues, basketball teams... all of which we were ALWAYS the first ones to get kicked out of the tournaments. i would like to say that my athleticism and gracefulness might have been a little bit to that contribution. we had major rock out scenes in the bathroom in which we would record and watch all night and die laughing at. going on dates and kissing and telling. oh wait - ladies don't kiss and tell, right? of course we didn't ;) going on TERRIBLE dates and then laughing about that for weeks on end. having amazing talks til the wee hours of the morning. who can forget endless times of skipping class together? and summer, summer, summer. ohhhh how i miss summer with the roommates! that was a blast! i met some girls that i will forever hold dear and cherish.
it was the place i earned my degree. yeah, it was sociology. ummm... no comment. we are just gonna move on...
it was the place i met my lover buns! oh my goodness, it was a ways coming in finding him/realizing it was him - i'm kind of slow in that department. i went through a few heartbreaks to realize it wasn't anything too special until it was the hubs. i don't think i ever realized i could be SO happy all the time with a guy and never get bored of him. i seriously haven't stopped laughing since day one. i am so proud of him and love his cute tush and it's alllll mine.
it was the place where we created/had our little pig. ohhhh we love that crew-poo! he went to bed an hour ago and i miss him already. i'm tempted on waking him up right now! he gets the giggles so bad when you tickle him now and i seriously can't handle his laugh - i die laughing. it is the FUNNIEST and sweetest little snorty/tooty noise. mmmm i love it.
it was the place i discovered my true love. DESERET INDUSTRIES! OH HOW I MISS YOU! i miss this place sooooo bad. seriously, i had the best shopping trips of all here. i am obsessed with thrift shopping and i love DI with all of my heart. sometimes i would go there twice a day. yeah, i was obsessed and it was a little embarrassing that almost all of the employees knew my name and would tell devin where i was if he came looking for me. dang it, i miss it!!!
when i left, i left my heart with you DI. til we meet again.
