well, it's official. my child is growing up. and that reallllly bums me out. except, his cottage-cheese-dimpled-bum is getting larger and there's lots more to love on :)
{let me just put a little insert on here. more of a shout out, if you like. i have been skyping with my dear pal, crusty christa for 3:31:39 ... wowsa... yeah, that's right. three freaking hours AND a half, i might add!} end insert...
back to my sob story.
my poop filled crew baby is getting so big and so heavy for me to hold anymore. he's already a ton and a half when i'm carrying him in his car seat. and it's only going to go uphill from here.
i know he's only five months old but seriously that's practically almost a year and before i blink next i'm going to be grounding him from a high school girlfriend that drives me crazy. i can't let this happen! i have a scary feeling that i'm going to be one of those crazy mother's that is a control freak and can't let their child make decisions on their own and they tell all their friends that their mom is crazy. whew. let's pray that devin keeps me on the cool level. i want his high school friends to like me. look at that - i'm already worrying about how to get his high school buds to like me more than his other friend's mom's. just getting ahead of myself here. (but if he looks anything like his dad when he was in high school, he'll be a babe ... oh no, then i'll definitely have to LOCK HIM UP! AWAY FROM GIRLS! FOREVERRRR!)
wouldn't you lock that babe indoors?
back to crew...
i'm honestly so amazed every single day at how much he's developing and am so grateful for his big healthy body. he's rocking on his knees back and forth and scooting all the way across the room. crawling is SO close on the agenda! my little crew-poo is gonna be running away from me before i know it!
just imagine that is me and crew- mainly because i think that ladies out fit is bomb and her shoes and coat etc. and the little boy is to-die-for-adorable. i saw that picture and immediately had this wave of emotions run over me. i kept imagining his first day of kindergarden and i'm going to try to keep it together until he gets on the bus and then i will run inside and lose it. however, i don't think i'm going to look so dolled up and put together at 8 AM while trying to get together 6879 other children for the day. yes, we plan on having that many children. anyways, i imagine myself in jammy pants with peanutbutter and jam on my face and my hair in a fro. that's a little more my style.
crew, my little boy - you won't always be little and actually, you NEVER have been little but you will always be MY little man and i will always adore you.
i will miss creeping into your room while you are napping and listening to you breathe and watching your cute diaper butt. you are too much for words to express. i want to cuddle and smush you all the time because i love you so much. so, until next month - i will try to not have a melt down.
