my friend, ali.

have i ever told you that i have a famous friend? yupp, well i do. she is famous, for real. have you ever heard of ali and christina from america's got talent? the two sisters with cystic fibrosis that sing together? yeahhhhh that's ali! she is our sweet, dear friend.

we met her up at byu-idaho a few years ago and she has become such a close friend of ours and let me tell you, she is the sweetest most generous person i think i have ever met. two words for this woman.

2. genuine

honestly, she is such a gem and is so christ-like. devin and i love her to pieces. for example - we went shopping a few months back and i saw this black dress at gap that i wanted but it was way more than i wanted to pay and i said i was going to wait til it went on sale and what do you know she does? she comes over a few days later with a gap bag for me and she had bought me the dress! yeahhhh... people just don't do stuff like that! on another occasion, we went out to olive garden with a group of people that was probably around 11 or 12 people and 4 or 5 of those people ali didn't even know and she paid for everyone's dinner. let me tell you, she is tricky! none of us saw it coming. she is so sweet and loves doing nice things for other people. she was constantly offering to watch our crew baby in rexburg. just a golden friend. i think you get the picture.

well, the this past friday we went to richmond for the day because we had a good friend singing at a nascar event and we got to hang out with our very own celebrity, miss ali!!! she came all the way to virginia :) we were SO pumped!!! we went to this mansion in richmond and it was AMAZING. the grounds were so cool! they had a petting zoo and gorgeous gardens everywhere. we couldn't get enough of the place. we were probably there for 4 hours just looking at the grounds and we didn't even look at the house. big bummer. we'll just have to go back and see everything else!
