the day i got locked out.

yeah... that day would be today! so far, my day has gone a little something like this...

devin goes running first so i can watch the pig and then we switch off. we had a slower morning today so it was already like 845 out by the time the hubs got home. so, i went outside to check to see how bad the humidity was. it was BAD BAD BAD. so while i was outside on the back patio, i was in my UNDERWEAR because i thought it would be just for a second. buuuuut i reached for the door and what do you know? LOCKED! i'm freaking locked out of the house in my panties just hang out in the back yard. awesome. i'm just praying at this point that the neighbors are sleeping in. so, i run around the house to the bathroom window where dev is taking a shower. i bang on the windows and yell to him that i'm locked out. then, it starts POURING. i am drenched in my WHITE undies outside and the husband is pretending he can't hear me and laughing.

after a while, he eventually let me in. he sure got a kick out of it- a whole lot more than i did! so, the rain had slowed down a lot by the time i had gotten my running shoes on and all that jazz. i was about to bag running all together for the day because of the rain but then devin continued to tell me how hard core i would be if i ran in the drizzle outside. plus, "it wasn't raining that hard anyways"... so, i just can't say NO to being hard core because i'm gay like that. well, i make it like 1.5 miles out and it's only drizzling but then what do you know... just starts MONSOONING again... awesome. it made me even more mad so i kept running forward but not that much farther. i thought it would die down a bit. but, of course it didn't. it poured my ENTIRE run. and it makes it even better when cars pass by me and splash tons of water all over me. mmmm i love it. by the end i looked a little something like this-

lesson learned: don't under ANY circumstances listen to your husband. EVER. being hard core is really not THAT cool.
