meet virginia

sometimes, you just need your family, right?
there doesn't need to be a need, or something bad happening.
you just want to be home with family.
this is one of those times.

ah, and don't get me started on my family.

I.LOVE.THEM.

let me introduce you to them.

here we have momma lady and dad (who the little chillens call bock bock and papa)

they are so fun.
seriously, my house was the place to be in high school.
all my friends would come over and hang out with not me, but MY parents. okay, i hope they were there for me a little bit too.
anyway, they are a blast.
it is non stop fun when my parents are around.
they are a hoot.
my mom is the lady who LOVES talking about the intimate things in everyone's life haha such a typical mom.
she always wants to know everything going on. it's kind of cute and kind of drives me crazy sometimes.
my dad is the easy, chill guy that knows EVERYTHING about everything. he seriously is the smartest person i've ever met. devin has said this so many times too. my dad is the dad that can do it all. no joke.

then we have oldest sister carreen and her hubby aaron, and connor 4, nathanael 2, and evie almost 1 (YIKES!)

ah, i miss my sister. she is so funny.
she has got to be one of the smartest people i've ever met. (i wish the smart genes hadn't missed completely on me!!!)
she knows anything about everything but she will never admit it. only if she's in a sassy mood ;)
her husband aaron is the shiz.
i've known aaron since i was 7ish.
his family went to the same branch we did in delaware when we lived in maryland.
they would sit the row infront of us every week and mom would always pull the hair on aaron's arms to get him to squeal during sacrament meeting (while he was 13 or so) and consequently, would get in trouble every single week from HIS mom.

connor is my baby. he was the first nephew/child born into the family out of the siblings and i think he is precious.
he is one smart little cookie!
he is so funny and loves trying to make jokes, even if they aren't so funny haha.
he gets real self-conscious when too many people watch him, and it's adorable.
my heart always melts when he runs and gives me a hug when he sees me for the first time in a few months.
and he always stares out the window and waves goodbye after we've left.
ah, i love that boy.

the there's nathanael.
carreen always says that he is MY child haha.
this is why:

he is SO white and blonde
he is horribly allergic to dairy (i share your pain, buddy)
he's hilarious (carreen thinks i'm funny, what can i say?)
he's always getting into things he shouldn't be - one sneeky little guy (story of my life)
and now he's hit his terrible 2's and i guess he's a little, alright... A LOT to handle right now.
haha that's why i love that i'm the aunt and i get to ryle him all up and then hand him back when he's bad :)

and here we have "sweet baby evie" as my nephew, hiram would call her.
i really haven't been around that much during her little life because of the distance :(

boo on distance.

but she is such an easy baby. so easy going. so loveable. and such cute pudge rolls EVERYWHERE.
i really wish i could squish her thigh rolls right now.

then there's my brother david and his wife carrie and their little boy, hiram (age 2)
i love these guys!
they are the funny little trio.
i remember when carrie and david were married and she was so quiet.
i am so glad she has broken her shell and she is HILARIOUS.
she's so on top of things and such a treat to be around.
david has always been my best friend growing up.
he is the funniest person i know, besides devin :)
such a GOOD guy. i think that's the best way to sum david up.

the we have little hiram.
ohhhhhhh i love this boy.
if i could describe him in one word i would say: obedient, cute, and sweet.
okay that's more than one. i couldn't do it.
he is just like his dad, such a good little guy.
he loves going on the tractor with papa at mom and dad's house and LIVES for it.
he thinks he NEEDS to drive everywhere now.
he's kind of obsessed.
i love it.
he can count in english and spanish and speaks a lot of both..... SO ADORABLE.

(sorry to my future children, you might look like dummies next to your cousins)

basically what i'm trying to say, i miss my family.
i wish idaho and virginia went 574896345609 miles away from each other.
i hate that visits are so few and far between to virginia.

i just miss the smell of mom and dad's house and laying on their clean, white carpet in the living room.
i miss babies drooling all over me and fighting with my sister about not changing her kids diapers.
i miss all the green out there and walking out onto the back deck and seeing nothing but trees and green.
it's so beautiful there.

i know when devin and i got married, i knew that i'd probably be in idaho for the rest of my life and i said i was fine with that.

well, i lied. big time.

i miss you virginia, home, and fun family.
